The State of Kansas has an aggressive program that is asking every Community in Kansas to reduce the waste stream by recycling. Stutzman has answered this call by being the only curb to market single stream provider in Central Kansas. Our single stream resource and recovery facility in South Hutchinson sorts and processes our recyclables daily. This program has afforded SRD the Kansas Recycler's Associations, Outstanding Environmental and Community Leadership Award for several years.
We have become the largest privately owned recycler in Central Kansas since adding recycling to our line of services in 1992. We operate the only material recovery center of its kind in Kansas. The facility allows us to collect and process single stream recyclables. The material recovery facility is a key component in the residential recycling programs we provide in the cities. Our patented glass recycling process is innovative and processes mixed glass that is recycled into fiberglass insulation.
